Package Overview
| The trip begins as you arrive at Pisa Airport – the gateway to Florence, the renascence gem of Italy. On arrival in Florence, you will be whisked off to your luxury hotel and spa, the Plazzo Terranova, set in the heart of Umbria, being able to view the topographical delights of the Umbrian region. The hotel boasts a truly relaxing atmosphere which adds to the ancient tranquility of the area.
After a restful night, your chauffeur will collect you and take you to a vineyard near Cotona, Tuscany. In this enchanting setting you will have a personal guide to show you round the vineyards, before tasting the different wines produced. This is followed by a freshly prepared gourmet lunch, sampling both the wine and the local delicacies.
After an early breakfast, you will meet your private truffle hunter and their highly trained Truffle dog. Sensible shoes and warm clothing are recommended. Accompanied by them you hunt the forests of the region, descending into the secret groves where the truffles remain hidden amongst the roots of the trees. This afternoon you will return to the Palazzo Terranova where you can enjoy a cooking master class by the hotel chef in the use of truffles with and accompanying Italian Cooking. Here you will learn how to gain every possibly flavor out of the subtle, yet delicately fine essence of the truffle.
Today, after a brunch, your luxury car will take you back to Florence, giving you an opportunity to have one last glance of the dramatic and romantic hills of the region, before checking in for your onward flight home at Pisa Airport.
